A Murder UncorkedMeet Michele Scott
Also Writes as A.K. Alexander
I write books I’d want to read.
Hi! I’m Michele Scott—New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over forty novels spanning cozy mysteries, dark thrillers, young adult fiction, and women’s fiction. I aim to write stories that pull you in and don’t let go.
My cozy mystery readers know me best through Nikki Sands, the wine country sleuth at the heart of the Wine Lover’s Mystery series, which readers will be happy to know that A Murder Uncorked is in development as a film starring Emma Roberts and Lucas Bravo.
My equestrian mysteries draw on a world I know deeply. As CEO of Professional’s Choice, Inc. — a leading equestrian sports medicine company — horses aren’t just a passion, they’re part of my DNA.
Under my pen name A.K. Alexander, I write pulse-racing thrillers that have sold over one million copies and hit #1 on UK Amazon with Daddy’s Home, which is the first book in The Holly Jennings series.
With books on the New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Amazon bestseller lists, there’s something here for every kind of reader. Whether you’re in the mood for cozy and fun or dark and gripping — I’ve got you covered.
I grew up in the foothills of San Diego county where we always had horses and I started riding as a little girl. I was also a competitive gymnast for seven years as a kid and give credit to the sport in providing me with the skill of tenacity and determination.
I think it’s one of the reasons why I can write under the gun!
I went to college at The University of Southern California and studied journalism. But, I always wanted to write fiction. Soon after I graduated I had my first son and wrote my first novel! That was 1991 and I have been writing books ever since. I love it!!
I’m a mom to three amazing, grown children. I love to cook! I’ve written 36 books…. 7 of them were co-authored projects and a number of the others were written under my pen name, A.K. Alexander. I just recently moved from my hometown of San Diego to San Francisco where I am brewing a new mystery series or two in my head!
